Access to Medzup on the smartphone is protected by the lock system of the smartphone itself, and once the smartphone is unlocked, by a 4 digits password code to access the application itself.

Medzup makes the patient the holder and owner of his medical file. The medical file is no longer only in the archives of the hospitals and / or in the IT of the medical cabinets.

Medzup is a simple, inexpensive solution to solve the fragmentation of the medical file generated by the various modes of archiving existing between hospitals, clinics, medical practices, laboratories, imaging institutes, etc.

Medzup avoids the centralization of medical records on a regional or national server. It bypasses the difficulty of having to harmonize many computer systems.
Server maintenance and data storage is "delegated" to the "Cloud".

The Medzup medical record is the exclusive property of the patient. The patient may optionally share the whole or only part of his file.

The medical record can not be modified by the patient.
It is the doctor who, via the Medzup application of his computer, introduces the data into the Medzup sections. Example: report of a specialist in the "specialist reports" section, laboratory results in the "laboratory" section, radiology report in the "Medical imaging" section, etc…

Because of its central and coordinating position in the care of the patient, it is the family doctor who, by principle and pragmatism, introduces the various documents into the appropriate sections of Medzup.
This way of proceeding guarantees the quality and reliability of the Medzup medical file. The family doctor may, however, give permission to one or all of his colleagues to introduce documents.

The drug section is the only section where all physicians and pharmacists can bring treatment changes without prior permission from the family physician.
The Medication section has a history that automatically records the dates when drugs are started, stopped, and the prescribed doses. Such a history can potentially improve patient care and generate savings through better drug management.

The documents that the doctor enters into the patient's Medzup file are documents in PDF format ("universal" format)

The Medzup medical record is not stored on the doctor's computer.
The doctor accesses the patient's medical file only when a session is authorized by the patient.
When a Medzup session is open, the doctor can copy parts of the medical record.
Once the session is over, the doctor can no longer access the patient's Medzup medical record.
To access it again it will be necessary to open a new session.

During the first installation of the Medzup application on the patient's smartphone, and once the patient saves his medical file in the "Cloud", an application for emergency access authorisation to the medical file is asked to be made.
If the patient approves this authorisation, the emergency services, intra or extra-hospital can access the Medzup file in the "Cloud" in case of unconsciousness or inability of the patient to open the application.
